Annabel Winship's favorite picks
As she was going to the famous "Grand Magasins" in Paris, Annabel Winship realized she couldn't find shoes to fit her style: elegant and easy but with a touch of excentricity. Being born in a world of shoes and colors since her early age, she found this as the signal to start her own brand. Since 2007, she forged her signature: colorful, girly, original... She also made a name of herself for the comfort of her shoes: even customers accustomed only to flats like to wear her 6 cm heel.
Who are you?
Annabel Winship, shoe-designer.
How did you start in fashion?
From my early age, a passion for colours, and Textile and Fashion-Design studies in Duperré school in Paris.
And also, a heavy addiction to shoes, since my first steps into the world.
How would you define your style?
Colourful, girly, comfortable... and not too serious!
What inspires you?
People in general, plenty of childhood memories from my grand-mother's house, Liberty fabrics and William Morris prints, rock bands, flowers, animals...
A few words about this collection...
A dark and scary forest, where you would bump into Snow-White's cottage...
What's your favorite piece in our selection?
The GIMMICK, to walk somewhere over the rainbow!
What are you most proud of?
Giving a little sunshine to plenty of women, just by letting them have pretty feet!
Where do you manufacture your products?
In a little factory, in Spain.
Where can we find your collection?
In my shop in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, 29 rue du Dragon, in Galeries Lafayette, and in fashion boutiques around the world.
If your brand was a music, a movie, a cocktail...
"Fuck Forever" from The Babyshambles
"Sailor et Lula" from David Lynch
A Gin and Tonic in a pub.
